2010 Thurmont First Main Street
Flea and Farmers Market
Thurmont First Main Street would like to invite you
to visit the 2010 Thurmont Main Street Flea
and Farmers Market.
This year’s market will run Saturdays from June 19, 2010 through September 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the Guardian Hose Company Carnival Grounds on the Boundary Avenue side. There will be NO Farmers Market on July 24th due to the
Guardian Hose Company Carnival.
A selection of locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as baked goods and flea market items will be available each Saturday morning.

“Getaway to the Gateway”
Thurmont’s new tourism brochure is now available.

The Thurmont Economic Development Committee and Thurmont First Main Street are pleased to announce the publication of our new tourism brochure “Getway to the Gateway” for 2009/2010. This is a 12 panel full color fold out featuring many local points of interest as well as a map on the inside showing Thurmont and the location of many local businesses. The brochure has been funded through a grant and by advertising sales and will be made available free of charge to visitors and residents. The brochures can be picked up at most local businesses and also at many locations around Frederick County. A full color pdf version can be downloaded at the following links:

We have many ideas for future projects including a Farmers Market, Downtown Shopping Days, Soap Box Races, Community Yard Sales and other community and business based events.
